Badshah reveals marriage to ex-wife Jasmine Masih was ‘NOT HEALTHY;’ says, “We both tried everything”

For the time ever, rapper Badshah has opened up about his separation from his former wife, Jasmine Masih. For those who do not know, the singer-rapper and Jasmine married each other in 2012. In January 2017, the duo were blessed with a daughter who they named Jessemy Grace Masih Singh. However, the couple parted ways in 2020.

During a recent chat on the Prakhar ke Pravachan podcast, Badshah opened up about what went wrong in his marriage to Jasmine Masih. The rapper also shared that though they both tried hard to be together, but realised that their married life was ‘not healthy’ for their daughter. He said, “We both tried everything. We tried our best and gave everything that we had. We separated because it was not healthy for our child. I get to meet my child but not that often as she lives in London.”

Talking about his bond with his daughter, the ‘DJ Wale Babu’ singer shared that his daughter isn’t a fan of him but of K-pop band Blackpink. He said, “She was at my concert. My daddy is cool. He’s very cool. But she’s not a fan. She listens to Blackpink. As a musician, buying another musician’s merchandise for your own child is a little painful.”

As per media reports, Badshah is currently rumoured to be dating actress Isha Rikhi. The rapper met the Punjabi actress – who made her debut in 2013 with the film Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De, at a party. The duo have been dating each other for years now with reports surfacing in 2023 claiming they were planning on getting hitched. However, Badshah dismissed all such claims, saying, “Dear media, I respect you but this is super lame. I’m not getting married. Whoever’s feeding you this bullshit needs to find better masala.”
